Letzte Woche hat Samsung sein neues Spitzenmodell Galaxy S 4 vorgestellt. Heute hat ein erster Händler über die Anzahl der Vorbestellungen informiert.
Wenn es um die Smartphones des Jahres geht, führt 2013 am Galaxy S 4 kein Weg vorbei. Zwar sitzt ihm mit dem HTC One und dem Xperia Z ernst zu nehmende Konkurrenz im Nacken, auf die Nachfrage nach Samsungs Flaggschiff hat das aber offenbar keinen Einfluss.
Wie Online-Händler Carphone Warehouse heute in einer Pressemitteilung bekannt gegeben hat, ist die Zahl der bei ihm eingegangenen Vorbestellungen zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt vier Mal (446 Prozent) so hoch wie im letzten Jahr beim Galaxy S III. Der Versandhandel bezieht sich mit seinen Daten auf die ersten fünf Tage nach der Präsentation des jeweiligen Geräts.
Schon das Galaxy S III hatte im Android-Bereich einen Vorbestellungsrekord aufgestellt. Bis heute hat sich das Vorzeigemodell aus dem letzten Jahr über 50 Millionen Mal verkauft. Da dürften noch einige Exemplare hinzu kommen, schließlich stehen im Zuge des Galaxy S 4-Launches vermutlich diverse Rabattaktionen ins Haus. (via)

Android fans scramble for new handset prompts ‘busiest pre-registration period ever’
London, 20 March 2013 – Carphone Warehouse has today announced that interest in Samsung’s newest Galaxy S4 smartphone has been ‘off the charts’ compared with its predecessors. The UK’s largest independent mobile retailer has so far received more than four times (446%)* as many pre-registrations for the Galaxy S4 than it did when Samsung announced its last flagship device, the SIII, in 2012.
